May 02 photographer Annie Leibovitz unveils Queen portrait Annie has produced a stunning portrait of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth. Such a refreshing change from the attempts by various artists over the years to capture her Majesty, yet in my humble opinion insulted her. But this image is simply stunning. I love the way Annie has toned down the colour in the background to concentrate the viewer on her Majesty, looking every inch the regal monarch she is. The jewlery too ads a great touch to this portrait. I also love the fact the weather is 'moody-stormy' outside, yet with the window open, inside is a complete contrast, serene & regal. It reflects the Countries mood too, volatile, stormy yet peaceful too. Well done Annie Leibovitz , who also happens to be my favourite photographer & I paid tribute to Annie in a previous log entry I made (December). I also fell in love with her December 2003 shoot for Vogue, 'Alice in Wonderland'. Now that shoot featured an extremely beautiful Russian girl, Natalia Vodianova. May 01 Sony K800i 'Cybershot' camera phone.How impressed am I with this camera phone? 3.2megapixel & probably the best camera phone on the market to date. Phones slightly baulky & the slide shutter cover tends to get caught & pulled open, never the less, the camera is faultless. Heres a pic taken with the phone yesterday, the last day of April 07. I was pleased to get the tug in the picture too as it shows the Thames is still a working river. The images in Album 27 in my pictures are not with a camera phone, I used eos 1 & eos 20 (cannon) for those & varied lenses. I also left my £85 sunglasses on Lambeth bridge when I stopped to take the pics mentioned above-Gutted!  |
